Airtime 1.8.2 is available with 58 improvements and bug fixes, including the ability for users to download audio, cancel a show that is being recorded, and monitor the recording status of a show on the "Now Playing" screen. Airtime is the free, open software that allows you to manage, automate and schedule your radio station remotely.
Upgrade and install.
Airtime 1.8.2 significantly improves the upgrading and installing process. A new command-line program called "airtime-check-system" verifies the environment in which Airtime is being installed and troubleshoots problems. The Airtime installer will also now automatically detect if you should upgrade or install and take the appropriate action.
Download audio content.
Following suggestions from radio stations worldwide, audio files can now be downloaded from Airtime's Search and "Show Content" screens. This is of particular use for stations recording shows automatically who may want to download and edit files.
A number of small changes have been made to the interface after feedback from users: a show that is recording can now be cancelled, editing a playlist name or deleting a playlist now reflects immediately in the media search window, and the "Now Playing" screen shows whether or not a show is being recorded.
Upload limit increased.
Finally, a user who wanted to schedule three hour shows using a single audio file led to the discovery of a problem with Airtime processing files larger than 100MB. This has been fixed and the size limit for audio files has been increased to 500MB.
The team also took some extra time to focus on stability, fixing numerous bugs that were suggested by the amazing Airtime community in our forums.
