We can't get enough of them. Whether you’re a journalist or a systems analyst, if you’ve got a suggestion for us, we’d love to hear it.
Sourcefabric is registered in Prague, Czech Republic as a non-profit, public benefit organisation ("obecně prospěšná společnost" in Czech). We are always looking for new donor individuals and organisations. You can donate now via paypal and flattr (click the buttons over on the right!) or, if you’d like to be a little more hands on, check out our Services page where you learn more about ways of working directly with us.
From day one, Sourcefabric's work and community has been global. We develop our software so that every user can interact with the software in their own language and alphabet (we even tricked MySQL to accept Unicode even before it knew what Unicode was).
If you're interested in getting involved, head over to the forums and post a message for either Newscoop or Airtime and we'll let you know how to get started.
We can't get enough of ideas. Whether you’re a journalist or a systems analyst, if you’ve got a suggestion for us, we’d love to hear it. Is that button in the wrong place? Want smart playlists? Need drag ‘n’ drop widgets? Some of our killer features came directly from feedback given in our friendly forums.
Writing new material, editing existing content or translating manuals into new languages; three ways you can boost those karma points and prevent someone, somewhere from reinventing the wheel. We pride ourselves in exceptional documentation and use the innovative Floss Manuals and Booki platforms to produce it.
Answer your documentation calling by getting in touch with us!
Even the most non-technical users play a vital role in keeping our software bug-free. We value and process each and every bug and feedback report. Submitting a bug couldn’t be easier, just visit our Bug Tracker platform and click Create Issue.
Volunteer developers help us add new features and make our products even more useful to independent media organisations around the globe. We love them.
Want to get involved? We suggest you first familiarise yourself with the software through the demos, manuals and screencasts. Feeling brave? Head into the wiki next for the nuts and bolts or dive into the support forums and ask one of the core developers to assign you a task (or suggest a contribution of your own).
(Pssst. We’re rapidly expanding and on the lookout for talent. We always look to our community first, so its a great way to get on our radar. Check out our current job opportunities.)
If you are a web developer or a consultant, implementation of Sourcefabric products guarantees you exceptional support and increasing year-on-year development activity from a large, dedicated team, plus all the benefits of open source (regular releases, free downloads, great community).
Join our global team of implementors and we’ll recommend you to clients all over. We’re working hard on a training and certification program for Sourcefabric partners in 2011, but if you’re interested in getting in on the ground floor, contact us for more info.
If you are a happy user, journalist, editor, broadcaster, web developer or just a fan, tell us and the whole wide world about it! We'll happily feature you on our site. You can promote your project in our forum, or simply write to us to tell us about it.
