64 Studio has announced a partnership with Sourcefabric which will deliver enterprise content management systems for publishers and broadcasters on the GNU/Linux platform.
Sourcefabric is a not-for-profit company headquartered in Prague, Czech Republic with offices in Germany, and Toronto. It has over ten years experience developing specialized Open Source software for newspapers and radio stations, which has been deployed by media organisations worldwide.
64 Studio will bring Sourcefabric's Campcaster broadcast automation suite and Campsite multi-lingual enterprise content management system to a wider audience, by packaging and distributing the software in a secure and easy to install format. It will also contribute to new Sourcefabric printed manuals for system administrators, integrators and end users.
Daniel James of 64 Studio
Daniel James, 64 Studio director, commented: "There are a wealth of Free Software audio and online publishing tools already available on GNU/Linux, but Sourcefabric's two suites have been informed and refined by the specific needs of its media clients. There are major new Campcaster and Campsite releases due in January which will be of great interest to media enterprises and independents alike. We're also going to be helping Sourcefabric with the packaging, distribution and documentation of their next-generation products, due in 2011."
