The Media Development Loan Fund Fund holds a Media Forum every two years, bringing together all of its clients for two days of business discussions and idea exchange. This year it will be held in Bratislava, Slovakia in May. Speakers from across the news media spectrum will engage in discussions ranging from citizen journalism to ownership structures, with a specific focus on topics that impact on the media business in emerging democracies. The founders of Sourcefabric will attend the forum, which is held on the 13th, 14th and 15th May 2010, alongside many organisations which use Sourcefabric products to produce journalism across the globe.
MDLF founded the Center for Advanced Media–Prague (CAMP) in 1998 as its new-media arm before, on 23rd April 2010, CAMP became a wholly autonomous organisation, Sourcefabric, dedicated to enabling quality journalism through open source software and professional services.
