It's been a busy month for Sourcefabric following the official creation of the new organisation and the launch of the new site www.sourcefabric.org. Here's a quick overview of what we've been up to and what's coming next.

Community Tools

Our dedicated community tools and resources are now up and running. Any ideas on how we can improve or features you'd like to see implemented are always welcome in the feedback section of the forum.

We've a whole host of online social profiles too - you can follow Sourcefabric on Twitter, Facebook and many more networks. See the full list.

Free, as in Freedom!

An extract of Crafting Digital Media by Daniel James is the first of Sourcefabric's Stories - an ongoing series of features, opinion pieces and articles on open media. Read it at sourcefabric.org: http://links.sourcefabric.org/hwbht

Sourcefabric readers can get a special discount courtesy of the kind folks at Apress. Simply enter this code upon checkout to receive 50% off the Crafting Digital Media eBook purchased on www.apress.com: SOURCEFABRICDEM

Russian and Spanish Forums Online

Multilinguality, both of content and user interface, has always been a cornerstone of the Sourcefabric ethos. We're pleased to announce the launch of our Spanish and Russian language forums, with more languages to follow in the coming months: http://forum.sourcefabric.org

Out and About

The Sourcefabric team has been getting out there with workshops, presentations and talks at the MDLF Media Forum 2010 in Bratislava, Linux Audio Conference 2010 in Utrecht, Future Is Now Festival in Zurich and IDLELO 2010 in Accra, Ghana in the past month or so. Stay tuned for more news on summer events including our conference (co-organised with Open Broadcast) on the future of radio in Basel, Switzerland from 15 - 19 June.
