We are looking for an experienced product owner to help us bring Superdesk, our award-winning newsroom management software, to the next level. Are you passionate about open-source software and the news industry and have experience as a product owner of browser-based software applications? What you will be doing
As a successful candidate, you will be fluent in “agile” methodology and know your way around Jira and Confluence. You’ll be able to keep an eye on project progress without getting lost in the weeds of individual tasks. And as a communicator, you will know how to manage stakeholder expectations while motivating the development team to hit their targets for every sprint and release.
Importantly, you will be a great listener and be able to adapt on the fly, but you will also be a natural leader capable of implementing improvements in the way Sourcefabric manages agile development.
Required and preferred qualifications
- Have a sound knowledge of the news industry, understand the needs of news media, and grasp the challenges associated with transitioning from traditional to digital-first news operations.
- Possess a strong technical background and experience in illustrating features in the form of flowcharts and wireframes.
- Be fluent in English.
- Have experience working in international teams and in remote work environments.
