What is a Contributor License Agreement?
Sourcefabric z.ú. asks all contributors to any of our software projects to sign a contributor license agreement. The contributor license agreement (CLA) is the easiest way for you to grant us permission to use your work and for us to guarantee that individuals and organisations are entitled to use our software and distribute it.
Our CLAs are based on the templates drafted by the Harmony Project and are similar to the contributor agreements widely used by other software projects in the open source community.
Ok, what do I do now? where do I sign?
1. Download a copy of the CLA
If you are a developer contributing changes as an individual, you should use the Contributor License Agreement for Individuals.
If you are contributing as part of your work, you and your employer should use the Contributor License Agreement for Entities.
2. Print it out and sign it
3. Send a digital copy via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
