was born from the passion of two journalists, Barbara Schiavulli and Alessia Cerantola. Barbara is a war reporter and Alessia an expert in the Far East. In 2014 they decided to launch a series of podcasts on world news produced by over 20 reporters from Africa to Latin America to Asia, and covering topics spanning from archeology to psychology, books and art. They are part of our first FWD:media winners cohort.

CTXT.es (Contexto) was founded in 2014 by 14 experienced journalists from major newspapers in Europe, such as El Mundo, El Pais, and La Repubblica. Over the past years, CTXT.es has grown to become an alternative slow journalism news outlet in Spain, using longforms and new forms of storytelling. They are one of the first winners of the FWD:media initiative.

Insajder was originally an investigative TV program whose authors created more than 120 episodes that aired between 2004 and 2015 on TV B92. During its existence, the creators interviewed more than 500 people and displayed over 1,000 pieces of evidence of fraud, corruption and crime in Serbia and the region. The project was relaunched in 2016 as Insajder.net.
