Our Legacy Projects

Over the course of our history, we have been continuously evolving and trying new things. This page provides an overview of the projects that informed our current offerings and brought us to where we are today. Though we do not develop or maintain them ourselves any longer, you can still find the source code on GitHub. Feel free to download, fork and develop your own version of Newscoop, Citizen Desk and Booktype. Read more about each below:

Our original open source content management system (CMS) made for digital newsrooms: lightweight, flexible and easy to use.

An open and collaborative platform for producing printed or electronic books, as well as other kinds of longform content like company reports.

Aimed at supporting democracy, our open source platform helps professional journalists verify and curate information from the public.
